The hotel had a nice pool where we spent most of our time during the hot afternoons. The staff were friendly and helpful and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. As for the location, it was close enough to downtown to walk in about ten minutes, but far enough away to avoid the noise.
That the floors weren't mopped very well and there wasn't enough water pressure in the evenings for a proper shower. However, this didn't affect our overall enjoyment of the hotel and the surrounding area.

Beautiful pool and gardens, great location near the markets, consistent AC in room, delicious non-breakfast food and drinks. We loved our stay at Baystone Resort! Although the bathroom could be updated and the floor felt slippery when wet, the friendly staff made up for it. The tuk tuk driver with hand-painted artwork took us on a memorable temple tour. The refreshing pool was a bonus. we highly recommend this hotel.
